A Reminder (mostly to myself)...

From the Jerusalem Post

Not all Jews are Zionist racist assholes :

'Reservist officer Captain Amir Paster was sentenced on Sunday night to 28 days in a military prison for refusing to take part in the fighting in Lebanon.'

'
Paster, 28, arrived at his base after being drafted and told his soldiers that he refused to take part in operations that harm innocent civilians.'

Canadian (Harper) Government to Israel....

Kill our citizens - no problem!

Kill our soldiers posted with the UN - no problem!

We still side with you in your "measured" response to the rockets coming from south Lebanon.

...on the side to CSIS :

What? The rockets didn't start being fired until after Israel started bombing? Doesn't matter. Remember, they changed their reason...it is now a response to the kidnap of Israeli soldiers from Isreali territory. What? The israeli soldiers were actually inside Lebanon? Doesn't matter. Remember, the mainstream media has cleaned the story for them, and most of the peons - er - I mean people believe anything they are told by the newpapers and TV.

Israel to Investigate Itself Over UN Post Attack

Hmm. I wonder if they'll find themselves guilty?! Since when do you get to investigate yourself in a possible homicide/war crime? I hope next time i'm speeding I get to decide whether or not to pull myself over and issue myself a ticket!

On top of this, they are trying to say the UN will not be allowed to move peacekeepers in southern Lebanon. I guess they think they have the right to decide international affairs all on their own! Damn they have balls!

What The Hell is This?

I don't know for sure, but this certainly doesn't look like a normal rocket/bomb/missile. It looks to me like a weapon that releases something - like a gas maybe?

And look at those crazy Jew bible thumpers - or in this case Talmud thumpers. I didn't realize their 'God' condoned cheering on death and destruction.

Just another reason to NOT believe in 'God'....along with common sense.

The Liars and the Idiots

It's lucky for the politicians and talking heads who support the US/Israel terror alliance that most people are idiots, otherwise their lies and misinformation would make them look ridiculous. Here are a few examples from The Ottawa Citizen today :

1) Retired Major-General Lewis MacKenzie, while speaking to a rally in Toronto supporting Israel :
''If Hezbollah truly cared about civilian casualties, they would get their butts out of the residential areas of South Lebanon and fight man to man,''
You mean sort of how the Israelis fight man to man? Like from the cockpits of bombers and fighter aircraft? Or like the Israeli soldiers firing artillery from miles away?

This guys comment reminds me of how the mouthpieces in the US call their enemies cowards for blowing themselves up, meanwhile their army drop bombs from 10,000 feet.

What takes more balls - pressing a button in the cockpit at 10,000 feet and not even seeing the death and destruction you cause, or pressing a button and blowing yourself up to cause the death and destruction?

2) Prime Minister Stephen Harper, when asked if he agreed with
UN Secretary General Kofi Annan's assessment that the Israeli strike on a UN observation post in southern Lebanon may have been deliberate :
''I certainly doubt that to be the case, given that the government of Israel has been co-operating with us in our evacuation efforts, in our attempts to move Canadian citizens out of Lebanon, and also trying to keep our own troops that are on the ground involved in that evacuation out of harms way. So, I seriously doubt that,''
First off, Israel striking a UN post on one hand and 'co-operating' with evacuation efforts on the other have nothing to do with each other. At all. Second, I guess he missed the part about the warning calls to the IDF from the UN post itself, and from the UN headquarters in New York. Oh yeah, and the part about Israel using precision weapons.

3) Alan Baker, Israel's ambassador to Canada :
''What earthly reason would Israel have to deliberately target a UN post,"
Hmm. Let's see. Perhaps they had evidence supporting reports that Israel is using banned weapons in its offensive. Perhaps they wanted them out of there before an upcoming event in order to ensure there were no credible witnesses. I'm not saying definitively that this is the case, however it shows that there would be an 'earthly' reason.

Like I said at the outset, most people are idiots without the capacity for critical thought, so when statements such as above are made, they are rarely if ever called on them. The world is run by hate-filled liars, who know the majority will believe what they are told without even thinking about it.

How is it that lies, double standards and idiocy are winning over truth, justice and intelligence?

Perpetuating misinformation in the Ottawa Citizen

This is an editorial published today in the Ottawa Citizen :

Hezbollah's miscalculation

The Ottawa Citizen

Published: Tuesday, July 25, 2006

Any survey of great misjudgments in the history of the Middle East must now include Hezbollah's attack on Israel.

As an exercise in recklessness, Hezbollah's aggression ranks up there with Samson's falling for Delilah or Billy Hayes's attempt to smuggle hashish out of Turkey (see the film Midnight Express for more on Mr. Hayes).

The July 12 murder and abduction of Israeli soldiers on sovereign Israeli territory was a colossal miscalculation in several ways. In a speech six years ago Sheik Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah's leader, likened Israel to a spider web -- it looks strong, but one poke and it falls apart. Back then Israel had voluntarily withdrawn from southern Lebanon, and Mr. Nasrallah saw that as a sign of weakness.

He was wrong. As of this writing, Israeli troops continue to pursue Mr. Nasrallah's fighters across Lebanon. Dozens of Hezbollah men are said to be dead. Although civilians on both sides also are dying, the Israeli public is overwhelmingly behind their prime minister. Some spider web.

Hezbollah's real miscalculation, though, wasn't the assumption that Israel had become too soft and decadent to defend itself (an assumption Islamists make about all western societies). No, Mr. Nasrallah's real miscalculation was his expectation that the usual suspects would naturally align against Israel.

Trouble is, Hezbollah crossed an international border to attack Israel -- a border recognized by the UN itself. The first sign that Hezbollah had miscalculated came in the form of a remarkable statement from Saudi Arabia. The Saudis denounced Mr. Nasrallah -- a fellow Arab -- for his "rash" adventure and said that Hezbollah alone "bear(s) the full responsibility of these irresponsible acts."

International diplomats, though unsettled by the outbreak of violence, have quietly given Israel a free hand to cleanse Hezbollah from south Lebanon. They've done this not just because Hezbollah so clearly seeks the destruction of Israel, but because the international community is largely responsible for the current crisis. When Israel withdrew from south Lebanon six years ago, it was assured that Hezbollah would be kept in check. A UN Security Council resolution was even passed ordering the disarming of Hezbollah.

Unfortunately, the UN and Lebanon let Israel down. Hezbollah was able to operate freely in the south, amassing weapons and building fortifications, all in preparation for a showdown with Israel -- a showdown that Hezbollah initiated this month.

And that's where we are today. Despite perfunctory calls for a "cessation of hostilities," no one, not even the UN, wants a ceasefire just yet. It's understood that Israel needs to weaken Hezbollah before an international force can secure the border.

In 1981 Israel destroyed Saddam Hussein's nuclear reactor before the thing became operational. Now Israel is dealing with Hezbollah, because no one else wanted to. Soon it may fall upon Israel to confront Iran. Presumably Israel is tired of being the world's counterterrorism unit, though this time around it's nice to see that an increasing number of observers recognize that Israel is doing us all a favour.

Here is my letter to the editor :

re: editorial with title 'Hezbollah's Miscalculation'

I have two issues with this editorial. The first is the fact that you chose to ignore the many reports from international media indicating that the Israeli soldiers where actually captured inside sovereign Lebanese territory. The Associated Press even reported this.

The second is the idea that Israel is "the world's counterterrorism unit" and is "doing us all a favour". Why are we in the West constantly being told that Israel’s enemies are our enemies? These groups attack Israel because of its policies past and present, and for whatever reason Western leaders want to place their own citizens in harms way to support Israel’s policies.

In short, they become our enemies because we force them to with our unwavering support of Israel – right or wrong.

I understand why you would continue to perpetuate this misinformation however, as reporting that it may have been Israel who initiated hostilities by sending a commando team into sovereign Lebanese territory would make it hard for you to stand so firmly with Israel, and show that their actions are most certainly not a justified and 'measured' response.

Heaven forbid a news organization from giving all sides of a story and letting the reader decide for themselves...it may lead to people understanding that the poor forever victim state of Israel is actually very rarely the victim.

We'll see if it is published....
