'Paster, 28, arrived at his base after being drafted and told his soldiers that he refused to take part in operations that harm innocent civilians.'

No. I want them to quit antagonizing their neighbors in the region. Weren't you ever taught to treat people the way you want to be treated? Or for the bible beleivers - do unto others...
If Israel was invading and occupying Lebanon based on truth and seeking justice I would support it fully. However, even though you obviosly choose to ignore these facts, I don't :
-Israel has thousands of Lebanese prisoners taken during their near 20-year occupation, held to this day without charge other than fighting the occupation.
-According to the UN Israel routinely violates Lebanese sovereign airspace.
-They abduct people from the Palestinian Territories based on suspicion of terrorist ties.
-Israel has not complied with many UN resolutions, and was saved from many more by US vetoes.
Why is it that only Israel, the US and UK are allowed to do these things, but their enemies are not?
I look at both sides of the issue with some historical context and form my own opinion.
Yes there have been many attempts to do horrible things to the Jewish people, but that doesn't excuse them doing these things to others.
